Hidden Palms Farm reserves the right to retain any offspring from a breeding. Reservations will be taken on any breeding listed on the schedule or any future breeding. We will not take deposits on a breeding until the kids are born. A list of potential buyers for a breeding will be kept and potential buyers will be informed of the available kids after birth. At that point, a $100 deposit will hold the kid until the agreed upon pick up date. If kids are not picked up on that date a $10 a week fee will be added to the price of the goat. If a kid is not picked up within 30 days of the date, the deposit is forfeited and the kid will be offered for sale to another buyer.
All registered kids will be sold disbudded, tattooed, current on vaccines, hoof trimmed, and castrated if a wether. Kid will be free from visual defects and healthy when leaving our farm but there are no warranties on the health of a goat after it leaves the farm. I do not guarantee height, show quality, or milking capacity. Refunds will not be given once the kid leaves the farm, nor will we accept a goat back due to biosecurity reasons. A buyer may request ay health test but it will be paid for at the buyer’s expense through our vet. Adults goats are checked by the vet every two months and we CAE test once a year.
If a goat has congenital defect that prevents it from breeding or conceiving and this is confirmed by a veterinarian we can work out a replacement from a comparable breeding and the buyer may keep the original goat but must forfeit the papers to be eligible for a replacement.
Since goat are herd animals, goats will only be sold in pairs or to a home that already has goats. Kids can be sold as bottle babies at two weeks of age or weaning(8 weeks of age).
Cash payment is required for all purchases at time of pick-up. Right now I do not have shipping capability but email me and arrangements could be worked out at your expense.
